DMCA Policy
Effective Date: August 18, 2026
TrestleBoard respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects members to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
I. Filing a Takedown Notice
If you believe content on TrestleBoard infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent at dmca@trestleboard.club that includes:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (e.g. a direct link) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Incomplete notices may not be actionable — we'll let you know if something's missing.
II. Our Response
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified material and notify the member who posted it.
III. Counter-Notification
If you believe material you posted was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@trestleboard.club including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., any district where TrestleBoard may be found).
We may reinstate the material if the original complainant doesn't file a court action within the time required by law.
IV. Repeat Infringers
Accounts found to be repeat infringers may be suspended or terminated, consistent with our Terms of Service and Community Standards.
